New Beginnings

As we close one council year and begin another, let’s remember to pass the leadership torch along with the necessary records. Doing this is a timely fashion is important.

Do you have new board members attend a meeting with those leaving for an update and the passing of information and helpful records?

Do your presidents keep NCCW, JDCCW, and the Deanery informed with the current names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses from your new rosters? Don’t wait until your treasurer submits dues to communicate this important information.

Do your officers and board members receive their own copies of Catholic Woman, the official bi-monthly publication of NCCW, because they are individual members?

Is your CCW providing education and training for its leaders and members? Are you participating in what the JDCCW offers?

Are you planning meaningful programs and projects that serve the needs of your parish families?

My hope is that you will make a smooth, efficient, and successful transition by

·        Continuing to place your council in the hands of God and Savior.

·        Delivering necessary records in a timely fashion.

·        Participating in programs, conventions, and general assemblies that energize and train your members for work in your council.

·        Remembering days of reflection and spiritual formation for your council.

·        Identifying the needs of your communities and then serving them and celebrating them.

·        Planning to implement new and exciting programs that have a purpose and a beginning and ending time.

·        Being not afraid but open to change which is vital to growth.

·        Being original and challenging and creative.

·        Carrying the message that all are welcome.
